  After being referred for services post-hospital discharge, our experience with Catholic Care home based support (personal, cleaning &social support) has been very disappointing. The service co-ordination is very poor with continually changing rosters and on-site staff who are either late or anxiously trying to end the sessions short to leave as soon as possible.
  Most- if not all- of the staff appeared poorly trained or not at all. The lack of knowledge and common sense was obvious watching them try and clean the most basic household item. Catholic Care appears to rely on the excuse that "that is just the nature of the industry- its not our fault" as they scramble to devise the next roster that has absolutely no consideration for the needs of the actual client. Huge disconnect in that regard.
  Furthermore, don't dare make any suggestions or provide them feedback as they will hit you with a good dose of fear-aggression based responses. Yes, we can do better and will do. Leaving this "service" was a good move sadly i fear many cannot in which case i do feel for them.

  Psychological services are of high quality, bulk billed, and you're treated with dignity. Referrals are made from your GP to NextStep, which is then triaged to CatholicCare.

  Hard for parking, receptionist friendly and very helpful, greeted with a smile.
  Visir went well and I got the start to the help and support I needed.
  Rooms were warm and furnishings homely and comfortable.
  Great experience.

  They are slow to do anything, people seem to get away with what ever they like & nothing gets done about it. I do not rate them

  I called as a new client. Unfortunately dealt with a receptionist who didn't know what they were doing. Booked me in for an appointment with someone the next week. I was very surprised to get in so quickly. ten minutes later got a call back to say that a mistake was made. The appointment was made in error. The waiting time to see someone is 5 months. I'm choosing to go else where. Catholic care is incompetent. Ridiculous having an untrained receptionist dealing with new clients. Such an idiot should be doing work that doesn't involve dealing with the public. Go else where.
